This classic 1960s sitcom chronicled the comedic–and later, romantic–misadventures of astronaut Captain Tony Nelson (Larry Hagman) and the beautiful Jeannie (Barbara Eden). Tony discovered a strange bottle on a deserted island while on a mission, and inadvertently freed the lovely genie inside. Now she is indebted to her “master” and tries to use her powers to his benefit–but often winds up doing more harm than good.
